CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating the details behind a cement truck accident near Dunbar Cave State Park on Wednesday.
According to WSMV, the cement truck driver was traveling on Dunbar Cave Road when they seemed to lose control of their truck, went into a ditch, and slammed into a tree.
The force of the collision caused the tree to fall on the truck. Despite the nature of the crash, the driver was spared from injuries.
Police said the crash happened near Swan Lake Golf Course. Officers confirmed that no cement was inside the truck at the time of the collision. Officers had to shut down Dunbar Cave Road between Dunbar Cave State Park and Kimberly Drive so crews could remove the tree from the road and the truck.
All lanes reopened after 1 a.m.
