NASHVILLE, TN – A 10-year-old boy riding a minibike lost his life after crashing into a tanker truck along East Park Sunday, WKRN reveals.
The events unfolded after 8:30 p.m. when the 10-year-old boy rear-ended another vehicle with his minibike. He went into the path of a tanker truck and collided with it.
The boy suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Metro police revealed that the 10-year-old boy had failed to yield the right of way prior to the collision.
Officers confirmed the truck driver will likely not face charges. Police are continuing to investigate why the boy was operating the bike at the time of the collision.
