KODAK, TN – First responders had to shut down I-40 East for several hours on Saturday due to a big rig rollover crash.
According to WVLT, officials pulled up to the scene before 2:30 p.m. and closed the area for many hours before reopening just before 9:30 p.m. Extensive traffic delays also were seen in the westbound directions as crews worked to clean up the debris from the crash and remove the affected vehicles.
The events leading to the collision and the extent of injuries are unclear at this time.
