MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TN — At least two people were injured last Friday morning, February 2, on Interstate 24 due to a collision involving a semi-truck, according to WHOP.
Clarksville Police Department officials said the accident happened on the eastbound lanes near Exit 8 to Rossview Road. It was first reported at around 9:45 a.m.
Preliminary details show a passenger vehicle was involved in a wreck with a semi-tractor trailer. While the exact number of people hurt and the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed, the Tennessee Highway Patrol indicated that more than one person was transported to a Nashville hospital by airlift.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area by diverting off the roadway at Exit 8 onto Rossview Road and then re-entering I-24 eastbound.
