1 killed, 2 injured in crash involving 2 trucks at central Cumberland County intersection

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN — One person lost their life late Monday morning following a multi-vehicle wreck in Crossville that left two other people hurt, reports WSMV4.

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials said the crash happened at the intersection of Miller Avenue and Lantana Road at around 11:30 a.m.

An early investigation indicates that a Kia Sedona minivan was traveling on Lantana Road when it went through the intersection, hitting the dump truck and then the right side of a box truck. The force of the crash sent the dump truck spinning until it struck a GMC Sonoma.

First responders pronounced one of the drivers deceased at the scene, though officials have not disclosed the victim’s identity or which vehicle they were driving.

The two other drivers suffered unspecified injuries.

A span of Lantana Road from U.S. 127 to Miller Avenue was shut down during the emergency response. The closure was expected to remain in place for about two hours for an investigation.
