1 injured, biscuits spill after semi rear-end wreck near Nashville

NEAR NASHVILLE, TN – A big rig driver rear-ended a parked semi-truck on I-40, ending in frozen biscuits spilling onto the road and injuring one motorist Friday.

The collision happened around 2 a.m. on the outskirts of Nashville, WSVN said. Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed that it was the second truck that spilled the biscuits. EMS crews were also summoned to the scene and transported the motorist of the stationary truck to a hospital for treatment.

Crews had to shut down the interstate between Mount Juliet and Hermitage for several hours for the clean-up process. Workers reopened one lane at 7 a.m. to accommodate the flow of the morning rush hour traffic and lifted all lane closures by 9 a.m.

Troopers did not say if they cited the driver of the moving truck. Updates will be added as our team uncovers the latest developments.
