Troopers investigate Ridgeville tanker truck crash with fuel spill

RIDGEVILLE, SC – South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the details behind a tanker truck crash that resulted in a diesel fuel spill on I-26 East Friday.

The serious collision happened near mile marker 190, and crews had to shut down all lanes for the scene clearance procedure, Count on News 2 reports. During the closures, commuters could exit off Volvo Car Drive, then take U.S. 176 leading to Jedburg Road, before reentering the freeway as an alternative route.

Troopers did not say if anyone was injured.
