GAFFNEY, SC – A pickup truck driver passed away after colliding with a Freightliner truck after trying to merge into U.S. 29 from South Green River Road Thursday.
This collision happened before 9 a.m., according to WCCBCharlotte. Additional commentary from South Carolina Highway Patrol indicated that the driver of the Freightliner truck (who was unharmed) was trying to go south when the crash occurred.
Troopers launched an investigation and have not released additional details at this time.
