OCONEE COUNTY, SC — Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred Thursday, February 22, on State Highway 11 near Walhalla, according to WYFF4.
The Oconee County Coroner’s Office said the man, identified as 59-year-old Michael Sid Green, was crossing the highway on foot. At one point, he was struck by an unknown truck heading southbound toward the city.
As of this writing, officials have not disclosed further details about the event, but the OCCO urges anyone who was acquainted with Green or his relatives to reach out to investigators.
The Walhalla Police Department continues to investigate.
