Male driver, 38, loses life as semi overturns in Aiken 

AIKEN, SC – A 38-year-old man driving a 2015 Freightliner 18-wheeler lost his life after his truck overturned along northbound S.C. 19 Saturday. 

This crash happened around 7:15 a.m. near Old Friar Road, according to The State. The driver, later identified as 38-year-old Larry Priester, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene around 8:30 a.m. 

No other vehicles or people were involved. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the details behind this fatal collision and has not been able to confirm other details, including whether Priester was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
