BUCKSPORT, SC – A collision involving a log truck and a pickup truck claimed the lives of three people Monday, WBTW said.
The events unfolded before noon when the driver of a 2024 Dodge pickup truck veered from Highway 701 North into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2021 Kenworth log truck.
South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed the pickup truck driver and their two passengers succumbed to their injuries, while the log truck motorist was unharmed.
No additional information was reported, including the victims’ names. An investigation is underway.
