WATERLOO, SC – A driver and passenger of a fire truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash Thursday.
South Carolina Highway Patrol told Fox Carolina that the fire truck driver was traveling at a high rate while driving on Waterloo Road. As a result, the motorist lost control of their fire truck, which led them to drift off the road and crash into a ditch. Moments later, the truck slammed into a tree and overturned.
EMS crews transported the driver and passenger to a hospital.
Troopers later cited the truck driver for speeding.
