NEAR BOWMAN, SC – A driver of a 1986 Mercedes driver was rushed to a hospital where they perished after colliding with a cement truck on I-26 East last Wednesday, Oct. 23.
This collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. near mile marker 161, about eight miles north of Bowman, according to WISTV.
Preliminary details from South Carolina Highway Patrol indicate that the truck motorist was driving on another eastbound lane when the wreck happened. Despite the serious nature of this crash, the truck driver was spared from injuries.
SCHP launched an investigation and has not released additional information.
