TRAVELERS REST, SC – A 10-year-old boy was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital after a crash involving an Amazon truck on Friday.
The boy was riding his bicycle on West Drive when he was struck by the delivery truck, according to WRDW. The collision took place before 5:30 p.m. and warranted a quick response from police and medical personnel.
The young cyclist was left with serious injuries and is currently recovering at the hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Amazon has not released a formal statement regarding the crash nor reached out to the boy’s parents.
As of this writing, no charges were announced.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances behind the crash.
