Allendale deputies dispatched to car-log truck wreck on U.S. 278

ALLENDALE CO., SC – The Allendale County Sheriff’s Office was summoned to a crash between a logging truck and a car on U.S. 278 Thursday, WRDW reported.

When the two vehicles collided after 7:30 a.m., it led several of the logs on the truck to spill onto the road, leaving crews and first responders with no choice but to shut down the area, which still remained closed as of 10:40 a.m.

Emergency crews did not specify when they cleared the scene, what exactly led to this wreck, if anyone was injured, or whether either driver would be cited or charged for their involvement.

Updates will be posted as more details surface.
