SPARTANBURG CO., SC – Two people were killed and a truck driver was hospitalized following a 3-vehicle crash in Spartanburg County late Wednesday night.
According to a report by WYFF, a vehicle was heading north on I-85 at about 10:30 p.m. when it veered across the median and into the oncoming lanes, where it collided head-on with an SUV and a tractor-trailer.
Both the driver of the striking vehicle and the driver of the SUV suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sources say a fourth vehicle was struck by debris from the collision; however, no one in that vehicle sustained injuries as a result.
