CHEROKEE CO., SC – One person was killed and three others were injured in an Amazon truck accident that took place on Pacolet Highway Monday evening, Fox Carolina reports.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the Amazon truck’s driver was attempting to turn left into a driveway in the highway’s 1000 block at about 5:10 p.m. when they collided with an oncoming 2008 Lexus.
An occupant of the Lexus, 61-year-old Bobby Andrew Peak, was declared dead at the scene. He had not been wearing a seatbelt.
Two other occupants of the Lexus were transported to an area hospital, as was the Amazon truck’s driver.
Investigations remain ongoing.
