GOODYEAR, PA – One person was hurt last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in south-central Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
According to WGAL 8, the accident happened around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Carlisle Road and Goodyear Road in Goodyear, about 33 miles southwest of Harrisburg.
Police say that for unknown reasons, an 18-wheeler hauling sodium bicarbonate crashed head-on into an SUV on Carlisle Road. Following this initial collision, the semi then left the roadway and hit a house.
The driver of the SUV became entrapped in their heavily damaged vehicle. Following extrication, medics airlifted the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither the truck driver, nor any of the people living in the house sustained injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
