WEST HAZLETON, PA – A multi-vehicle crash on I-81 involving a semi-truck killed one person and sent several others to the hospital on Monday morning, 69 News reports.
The accident occurred near the 145-mile marker just before 6 am. At least six vehicles were involved. Several victims were transported to the hospital, including one man who was thrown from the roadway down an embankment. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still under investigation.
