Woman Seriously Injured in Ohio Semi-Truck Collision

SANDUSKY COUNTY, OH – A woman was airlifted to the hospital after colliding with a semi-truck on State Route 53 Monday afternoon, WTOL reports.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just north of the Ohio Turnpike’s Fremont toll plaza shortly before 3:30 pm. The semi-truck driver was backing into a field to pick up a load when the 26-year-old woman driving an SUV collided with the trailer. The vehicle was stuck beneath the truck, and the woman needed to be extricated.

The SUV driver sustained serious injuries. The truck driver and a passenger were unharmed.
