FOWLER TOWNSHIP, OH – Two people were hospitalized after a crash involving a pickup and a semi-truck on State Route 193 Tuesday morning, Yahoo! News reports.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions north of Cadwallader-Sonk Road when they sideswiped one another around 7:15 am. The pickup truck rolled several times before landing in a cornfield.
HAZMAT crews were called to the scene to clear spilled fuel from a damaged fuel tank. Both drivers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
