Ohio Buggy Driver Injured, Horse Killed After Being Hit By Semi Truck

STARK COUNTY, OH – A man was seriously injured, and a horse was killed, when a buggy was struck by a semi truck on US Route 62 Wednesday afternoon, 19 News reports.

According to authorities, the collision occurred in Sugar Creek Township around 4:00 pm.

The buggy operator, a 36-year-old man from Beach City, was transported to Cleveland Mercy Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The horse died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
