COLUMBUS, OH – A medical episode was a contributing factor behind a deadly big rig collision that happened on the I-70 West and I-270 South connector on Wednesday.
According to ABC 6, the police’s preliminary details reveal that just before 10:30 a.m., the big rig driver had experienced a medical episode, which is what led them to lose control of their truck and crash into a guardrail. A short time later, the driver died from their injuries at the scene.
Law enforcement has not released the victim’s identity at this time.
