FULTON COUNTY, OH – A sedan driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic, which led to a deadly crash involving a big rig on Tuesday.
WTOL said the two-vehicle crash happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 20 and County Road 19. It was there that the sedan driver was trying to turn onto County Road 19 and collided with the truck.
The sedan driver and her passenger died from their injuries at the scene. The car driver has since been identified as 67-year-old Shrouk Al-Abbas, and her passenger as 83-year-old Majeed Al-Abbas. Both were from Byran.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that Shrouk did wear a seatbelt, while Majeed did not.
The truck driver was uninjured.
