Truck driver arrested after hitting Raleigh, NC, home, fleeing scene

RALEIGH, NC – Police arrested a man who slammed a box truck into a home in the Carter Mills area and then fled the scene on foot, WRAL reports.

Police say Kenyon Tyree Pelzer, 27, drove a LCM Logistics LLC–liveried box truck into a brick house on Raleigh Pines Drive at about 12:40 a.m. this morning. He had already run away by the time authorities arrive.

Police eventually caught up to Pelzer about two hours later.

A neighbor said the accident also damaged three of their vehicles and their house.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration lists the truck’s status as “inactive.”
