YADKIN CO., NC – First responders were forced to shut down part of an interstate near Jonesboro following a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Wednesday morning.
According to WXII, the tractor-trailer rear-ended a pickup truck in the northbound lanes of I-77 near the NC-67 interchange, just east of Jonesboro.
The impact caused the tractor-trailer to veer off the side of the roadway an flip over.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. However, traffic was delayed in the area for several hours following the crash.
All lanes were cleared by 9 a.m.
