Red light runner causes collision with semi-truck in Moyock 

MOYOCK, NC – A driver of a work truck was said to have run a red light, leading him to crash into a semi-truck Tuesday, WKTR reports.

The collision took place before 9 a.m. at the intersection of NC 168 and NC 34. There, the work truck driver was turning left from NC 34 onto NC 168, which led to the T-bone collision.

The work truck driver was left in serious condition and airlifted to Norfolk General Hospital. He has since been identified as 45-year-old Donald Wood and charged with “Failing to Stop for Red Light and Failure to Wear Seatbelt.”

The semi-truck driver was unharmed.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol blocked several lanes, causing significant traffic delays.
