Fire crews extinguish box truck fire in Saluda 

SALUDA, NC – Blue Ridge Fire and Rescue were able to extinguish the flames from an axle box truck on I-26 Friday, Fox Carolina reported. 

This solo collision happened around 11:15 a.m. near Holbert Cove Road. First responders did not certify whether the fire resulted from a crash or mechanical issues, although they confirmed no one was injured. 

Due to the severe nature of this incident, officials had to temporarily shut down the area for four miles, leading to some significant delays, which dissipated after crews cleared the scene.
