Big rig hits parked semi, leading to fuel spill in Winston-Salem 

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – A big rig driver crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on U.S. 52 South, causing the stationary truck to spill fuel onto the road Tuesday morning.

Due to the nature of this wreck, the Winston-Salem Police Department and crews were left with no choice but to close the junction, according to MyFOX8. Amid the shutdown, commuters could take U.S. 52 North leading to Waughtown Street. All lanes reopened just before 9 a.m.

Officials did not further comment on the events that led to this wreck or said if anyone was injured or had to go to a hospital.
