2 killed, 1 injured in bicycle-trash truck crash in Marshall 

MARSHALL, NC – Two bicyclists lost their lives and one cyclist was injured after getting struck by a trash truck on N.C. 251 East Tuesday night.

WLOS said the collision occurred before 6:45 p.m. and warranted a quick response from EMS crews, who took the three cyclists to a hospital. There, two of them died from their injuries, and the surviving occupant received treatment for minor injuries.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol will release the victims’ names after their families are notified of their passing.
