2 injured in semi-truck crash on I-77 near Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC – First responders transported two victims to the hospital following a semi-truck crash on I-77 Monday afternoon.

According to a report by WCNC, the incident took place in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the exit to Sam Fur Road at about 1:30 p.m.

Details concerning the cause of the crash are unavailable at this time. However, Huntsville Fire released several photos form the scene showing the truck’s cab completely destroyed. It is unclear whether any additional vehicles were involved.

Two people were hosptialized with only minor injuries. Their identities are not mentioned in the report.
