GREENBURGH, NY – Two people were injured when a semi truck rear-ended a passenger vehicle on New York State Thruway I-87 on Monday night, WPDH reports.
According to authorities, the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of I-87 near Exit 7A around 8:50 pm.
The semi truck was approaching the passenger vehicle in the right lane when the driver attempted to brake but failed to stop in time. Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals.
The driver of the passenger vehicle’s injuries are considered life-threatening.
