NEW ROCHELLE, NY – One person was injured and one was killed in a fiery rear-end truck crash that occurred on I-95 South on Tuesday morning.
According to ABCNY7, the collision took place along mile marker 6.1 amid a construction zone. It was there that the driver of a 2016 Hino box truck rear-ended a 2026 Peterbilt big rig. The Hino caught on fire as a result, and the driver died from their injuries.
The big rig driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities have not released the victim’s name at this time.
