WALTHALL COUNTY, MS — A crash involving a dump truck early Monday evening in northeast Tylertown claimed the life of a 35-year-old local woman, reports WLBT.
The fatal accident unfolded at the intersection of State Highway 98 and Dillon Hill Road at around 5:21 p.m.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Deyona James was in a vehicle heading southbound on Dillon Hill Road. At one point, it entered the highway and collided with a 2007 Western Star dump truck.
James, who was fatally injured, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officials have not released any details about the other driver or the circumstances of the event.
