CLINTON, MS – A 53-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries following a collision between a passenger car and a tractor-trailer on I-20 West Wednesday.
The collision occurred along Springdale Road, and the impact caused the truck to flip over on its side, according to WLBT.
Emergency personnel confirmed the 53-year-old woman was a car occupant. They have since identified her as Tatyana Zavalova, from Vicksburg.
Officials shut down the westbound lanes for at least three hours and told drivers to take Highway 80 as crews worked to clean up debris from the crash and remove the affected vehicles.
