Truck crashes into tree off Old Fannin Rd in Rankin County, claiming driver’s life

RANKIN COUNTY, MS — A 32-year-old local man has died following a single-vehicle accident Friday morning, off Old Fannin Road in Brandon, according to WLBT.

The accident took place at the intersection with Barnett Bend Circle, in the Reservoir area, at around 7:33 a.m. Multiple area agencies, including Rankin County Deputies, Reservoir Fire Department, Rankin Emergency Management Operations, and Pafford Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

A preliminary investigation shows that the victim, Wesley Pollock, was driving a Ford truck when the vehicle left the roadway for unclear reasons and collided with a tree.

Pollock, who suffered serious injuries, was pronounced deceased at the scene by first responders.

An investigation by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team remains underway.
