HINDS COUNTY, MS — Part of East Interstate 55 Frontage Road near Terry was closed early Wednesday after a tanker truck overturned, according to WAPT16.
The accident happened on a stretch of the service road near Terry High School.
While the cause of the rollover is still under investigation, the Mississippi Highway Patrol indicated that the truck lost control and became completely separated from its cabin.
While it’s unclear whether any other vehicles were involved, the driver of the tanker truck was not reported hurt.
A section of the frontage road remained blocked for hours as crews worked to clear debris from the area.
