LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MS – A 61-year-old man driving a Chevy Silverado died in a crash involving a Peterbilt truck on Highway 6 Sunday.
Mississippi Highway Patrol told WREG News Channel 3 that this crash happened before 8 a.m. The events leading up to this collision are unclear, but troopers did say it took place when the driver of the big rig, 41-year-old Chad Holcomb of New Albany, struck the pickup truck. The impact led the pickup truck driver, later identified as John Briscoe of Oxford, Mississippi, to succumb to fatal wounds.
