Driver killed in fiery tractor-trailer crash in Hinds Co.

HINDS CO., MS – A truck driver was killed last Friday when his vehicle ran into a parked vehicle in Hinds County, according to WAPT.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of I-20 near the MS-22 overpass, which is just outside of Edwards, around 11 a.m.

First responders say the semi-truck drifted off the roadway for unknown reasons and collided with a vehicle parked on the shoulder. The impact caused the semi-truck to erupt in flames.

The driver, whose identity is not mentioned in the report, suffered fatal injuries in the wreck.
