PERRY COUNTY, MS — Three people died Wednesday morning due to a collision involving a 2024 Peterbilt on State Highway 15 in Perry County, according to Dark Horse Press.
Mississippi Highway Patrol officials did not specify exactly where the accident unfolded, but troopers responded to the scene at around 10:00 a.m.
Preliminary details show a 32-year-old Carrolton resident was driving the 2024 Peterbilt southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the truck collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by a 38-year-old Ovett resident.
First responders pronounced all the occupants of the Chevrolet, the driver and his two passengers, deceased at the scene.
At this time, the MHP continues to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
