2 hurt, 1 killed in Vicksburg trash truck-car crash 

VICKSBURG, MS – A driver of a trash truck and a passenger from a 2008 Toyota Camry was taken to a hospital, and the Toyota driver was killed after their vehicles collided Monday. 

This collision happened before 6:30 a.m. on MS 27 South adjacent to Yvonna Nelson Court, according to WAPT. Mississippi Highway Patrol identified the Toyota driver as 30-year-old Ondrea Flaggs, who is the niece of Vicksburg mayor George Flaggs. 

The passenger with Flaggs was only identified as her twin sister and not by name. At this time, Flaggs’ sister and the truck driver are recovering at Merit Health. Their physical conditions are unknown. 

In addition, the circumstances behind Tuesday’s collision remain undisclosed.
