Whiteout Conditions Lead to Semi Truck Underride Accident in Detroit

DETROIT, MI – Heavy winds and blinding snow squalls caused several accidents on I-75 Monday afternoon, including a dangerous underride collision with a semi truck, FOX 2 reports.

The northbound side of I-75 was the scene of multiple crashes involving more than 20 vehicles. Winds up to 60 miles per hour and whiteout conditions put even the safest drivers in danger.

A passenger vehicle collided with the underside of a semi-trailer while at least two other semi trucks were involved in crashes.

It’s currently unknown whether any serious injuries were sustained. We will update should more information become available.
