Michigan Cyclist Killed in Collision with Semi-Truck

BLENDON TOWNSHIP, MI – A 54-year-old cyclist was killed in a collision with a semi-truck at a Blendon Township intersection last Friday evening, Fox 17 News reports.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Barry Street around 4 pm. The cyclist and the semi-truck were both headed south on 72nd Avenue when the cyclist attempted to turn left onto Barry Street as the semi tried to pass him, and the two collided.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
