NEW ORLEANS, LA – A box truck driver rear-ended a flatbed truck on the I-10 Twin Span Bridge, forcing the box truck to crash into lake waters and later sending the male driver to the hospital.
The rear-end wreck happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday on the bridge’s westbound lanes, Fox8Live reports. The truck had landed in Lake Pontchartrain.
The box truck driver was able to get out of the submerged truck prior to EMS crews transporting him to the hospital. Authorities confirmed the flatbed truck driver was unharmed.
