Man, 66, killed in rear-end crash involving delivery truck in Port Allen 

PORT ALLEN, LA – A 66-year-old man was killed in a rear-end crash involving a delivery truck on Route 1 along Port Allen Middle School last Thursday, July 31.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office told WBRZ that the events unfolded after 12:30 p.m. when the 66-year-old man, driving a car, rear-ended the delivery truck.

The car driver did not wear a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene. He was identified as Jerry Scott, a Port Allen local.
