LAFAYETTE, LA – A multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck closed down I-10 for several hours and sent one driver to the hospital Thursday morning, KATC reports.
The accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near US 167 around 8:30 am. It involved a semi-truck and two other vehicles. The semi reportedly struck a guardrail and caught fire.
The semi driver was not seriously injured. One of the other drivers was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
