MINDEN, LA – A truck driver lost his life and a truck passenger sustained minor injuries in a collision that happened off Moody Road Monday.
Louisiana State Patrol told Magnolia Reporter that the driver was driving a 2019 Mack TerraPro, when for reasons unclear, lost control of his truck. The truck veered off westbound Moody Road and crashed into a tree. Moments later, the driver succumbed to his injuries, and was officially pronounced dead at the scene by troopers at 11:15 a.m.
EMS crews were called to the scene and transported the driver’s passenger to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The surviving occupant’s identity was not disclosed. However, have publicly identified the truck as 40-year-old Adrian Combs from Minden.
Troopers said Combs did not wear a seatbelt, which contributed to him getting ejected and what ultimately led to his death.
At this time, officials do not suspect impairment played a role in the crash.
