ELKHART COUNTY, IN – A 30-vehicle pileup shut down all lanes of the Indiana Tool road in Elkhart County on Wednesday afternoon, WNDU reports.
According to the Indiana State Police, the collision occurred near mile marker 94 just before 4 pm. It began with a three-vehicle collision which eventually grew to involve a total of 30 vehicles, including several semi trucks.
Several people were hospitalized with unknown injuries. One semi driver was trapped several hours before being extricated by emergency crews.
