BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, IN – A semi-truck carrying military ammunition crashed on I-65 Tuesday morning, causing a secondary crash and creating major traffic delays, WAVE reports.
The semi-truck crashed in the southbound lanes of I-65 and caught fire. It was carrying approximately 300 howitzer rounds. An Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was called in to render the munitions safe.
The backed-up traffic caused another serious accident, creating further delays. It’s unclear at this time if anyone was injured.
