STERLING, IL – Illinois State Police were dispatched to the scene of a fiery big rig rollover crash that took place on I-88 East Sunday.
The fiery collision occurred after 2:30 p.m. near milepost 32, according to KWQC. Despite the nature of the crash, no one appeared to have sustained serious injuries. Fire crews likely responded to the scene to extinguish the flames.
Authorities shut down all eastbound lanes for a few hours and reopened the area at 5:45 p.m.
The exact cause of the fiery collision has not been reported.
